Key Features

Hands-On Experience

Based on real world scenarios, students will practice key tasks for designing and indoor and outdoor wireless networks and explore and troubleshoot network problems. These labs can be completed without any need to set up virtual environments or configure physical technology.

9.4.7 Design an Indoor Wireless Network

Routing and Switching Environment

Students will learn about Cisco connection devices, Cisco's command line interface, configuration, protocols, IPV4 routing, switching, WAN implementation and access control lists. Students will practice this in a simulated environment interacting with diverse connection devices and their interface.

5.2.5 Configure Switch Ports

Network Security

As security threats continually change, it is important that students learn modern security concerns. As part of this, they will learn to mitigate common threats and enhance network security using ACLs and security best practices. Students will learn to harden a switch using the IT security administrator, secure a wireless network in a Windows OS, and secure remote access using a command line interface.Students will also learn aout switch security, combat malware, sniffing, and session hijacking.

14.3.14 Harden a Switch
14.5.5 Detect Open Ports with Nmap
